Where we’re from in Texas, this cut is famously used to make Chicken Fried Steak. Smothered in white gravy, with a side of steak fries and Texas toast-yum! Other names for this little cut are Cube Steak, and Minute Steak, or Breakfast Steak.

Round steaks are very lean and can become dry if care is not taken in how they’re cooked. They are fine if you use a traditional recipe like country or chicken fry steak. If you going to sear them or fry them, use some oil or marinade to keep them moist and tender.
